About CERA

The Community Emergency Radio Association, Inc. (CERA) was formed in April 2022 and is a California non-profit, Public Benefit Corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

CERA is also the parent organization of the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club and the El Dorado County Neighborhood Radio Watch groups.

Our Mission

The Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA) is an all-volunteer group of concerned citizens dedicated to promoting community safety throughout El Dorado County and surrounding communities.

Community Emergency Radio Association Board

The Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA) Board consists of volunteers, many of whom are licensed Amateur Radio operators trained to assist with communications during community events, disaster response, and various other programs.

CERA Board Meetings

CERA Board or Sub Committee meetings are held monthly via video conference or in-person. The Board may also schedule special meetings at other times when needed, and will post notice according to the Brown Act.

Transparency

The Community Emergency Radio Association (CERA) is dedicated to operating in a transparent manner, and posts relevant financial and operational documents to our site as they become available.
